What Is Kiwanis?

Kiwanis: A global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.We are the world’s premier organization engaging adult and youth volunteers to improve the quality of life worldwide. As a thriving organization of volunteers, we are dedicated to serving the children of the world and improving the quality of life worldwide. Kiwanis works to develop future generations of leaders through our Service Leadership Programs, providing leadership development opportunities for students at every stage of life, from elementary schools to university. These programs promote personal growth and community building for a broad spectrum of students, allowing them to form enduring friendships, while building better communities for generations to come.
Young Children: Priority One (YCPO), an ongoing service program of Kiwanis International, addresses the needs of young children. All clubs are encouraged to carry out at least two YCPO projects per calendar year, though many clubs are able to do morehelping children, families, and communities.

What's Service Leadership

Kiwanis International empowers people at every stage of life to become competent, capable, and compassionate leaders by helping them learn to help others. Through its Service Leadership Programs, Kiwanis teaches young leaders new ways to change the world by serving one child and one community at a time.We define Service Leadership as the next step beyond service learning. Once a young person fully understands the concept of learning by helping others, he or she begins to grow personally as a leader.The Service Leadership concept is based on the philosophy of Servant Leadership, a term coined by Robert K. Greenleaf to define a leader who is servant first. "It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first," Greenleaf wrote. "Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead."

K-Kids

K-Kids is the service component of the Kiwanis Kids program. K-Kids clubs provide elementary school students with their first opportunity to learn about organizing projects that help others.What is K-Kids?More than 900 clubs in 12 nationsMembers work together in service to school and communityMembers develop basic leadership skills and strong moral character

Terrific Kids

How do Terrific Kids become thoughtful, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, inclusive, friendly, inquisitive and capable? Kiwanis members can show them the way.

Bring Up Grades (Bug)

The Bring Up Grades program awards elementary school students achievements. Its a low-cost, high-impact program thats easy to implement. Tap into these tools and find out how you can make a difference through BUG.

Builders Club

Builders Club is the largest service organization for middle school students (ages 12 to 14), and is student led.
